At Pirelli you will support the architecting, implementation and optimization of data-driven solutions as part of the enablers that change how decisions are made across all business units.

 

You will be in charge of coming up with effective and scalable solutions to cover the end-to-end software development process of data-driven and cloud-based products, including steps such as:
1.Data ingestion, transformation and export pipelines
2.Data storage management
3.Prototype-to-product refactoring and optimization following development best practices
4.Cloud infrastructure management through IaaC techniques
5.Product monitoring and maintenance

 

Responsibilities:
•Translate business needs into data engineering solutions
•Design and implement efficient data pipelines and architectures
•Present complex concepts to a non-technical stakeholders in a simple manner
•Support data science solutions end-to-end from concept to production
•Build and manage cloud infrastructure architectures targeted to host data-driven solutions

 

Required Skills:
•A passion and curiosity for data and data-driven decision making
•Ability to communicate architecture decision and rationale behind data engineering to executives and management
•Ability to communicate and collaborate with other team members
•Ability to prototype and test suboptimal solutions quickly and iterate up to a final product that can be deployed in production
•Ability to troubleshoot, debug and optimize existing code
•Ability to develop and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions
•Advanced knowledge of SQL
•Knowledge of OOP and design patterns
•Advanced knowledge of Python
•Knowledge of Hadoop environment (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark)
