Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to assume the position of Sales Engineer for our industry leading Electric Utility Metering product offer. The position will have the responsibility to identify and qualify electric utility metering opportunities within a given geographical territory.

The Metering Sales Engineer will work closely with clients to gain a thorough understanding of the clients' needs for the full suite of Schneider Electric metering products and solutions.

This is a quota carrying position and the primary responsibility is to grow orders and revenues while serving as the subject matter expert for Schneider Electric metering solutions

What do you get to do in this position?

- Regional sales for Electric Utility Metering Sales in the US.

- Develop and maintain customer relationships at assigned region electric utilities.

- Demonstrate metering expertise and be able to conduct product/solution demonstrations and discussions of the metering and software offers

- Key interface with multiple utilities

- Work closely with Regional Sales Managers, Key Account Managers, and Sales representatives to close leads

- Provide updates of sales opportunities on regular basis in SalesForce.com

- Provide direct solution and sales support for strategic opportunities at Key Accounts

- Work with the Marketing and Offer Management to monitor market changes and marketplace needs, competitor's products, and technology changes in order to adjust strategic directions as necessary.

- Develop product expertise for in-depth application use case reviews.

- Work closely with the clients to understand business drivers and to create competitive solutions

- Provide detailed proposal support

- Represent Schneider Electric at industry events in a speaking or leadership role as required

- Develop and maintain customer relationships at assigned region electric utilities.

- Represent Schneider Electric at local, regional, and national trade shows, working groups, seminars, meter schools, regional transmission and independent system operator organizations.

- Serve as a subject matter expert for Schneider Electric metering solutions

- Travel approx. 50 to 60%

Desired profile

Qualifications :

This job might be for you if:

- BS EE or related degree

- 5 years + experience with Utility Metering and Metering Systems
