Job description

The Financial Analyst role will report directly to the ITD RAC Controller. This challenging role will provide the candidate exposure to peers throughout finance as well as various career paths throughout Schneider Electric.

Assignments

· Perform monthly close activities, analysis and commentary.

· Analyze financial results; monitor variances; identify trends; report results and recommend actions to management.

· Ensure compliance for reporting and controls.

· Monthly Account reconciliations.

· Develop, maintain and provide ad hoc analysis and financial reporting support to Business Partners.

· Project performance forecasting, and measurement for monthly project reviews

· Contribute and participate in the training effort of the project/tender managers and other functions on the Project & Solution Financial Controlling area.

· Generate and distribute monthly invoices to customers for project billings

· Support ad hoc audits, and external audits

· Identify process gaps and provide recommendations for solutions

· Partner with finance peers on common projects to achieve financial reporting goals

· Work closely with Transactional FISS to provide guidance and direction to create and enhance upstream activities to fill gaps and improve financial reporting and controls

· Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other math intensive discipline

· Strong knowledge of accounting and internal controls.

· Ability to work in a matrix organization

· Action oriented with a drive for results

· Experience with root-cause analysis is a plus.

· English fluent written and oral with strong communication skills

· Proficient in office software (Excel, Powerpoint, Access)

· Experience with Oracle, Oracle – Project Accounting, Dynamics, BfO or other ERP systems is a plus

Other Competencies
· Highly analytical with strong working knowledge of financial and operational processes

· Leadership, detail-oriented and good organizational skills

· Ability to lead and drive initiatives.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines
