Service Component Production Engineer (m/w)

Mission

· Support service component manufacturing activities at Liebherr-Mining Affiliates and ensure that each production site adheres to global standards and best practice to achieve the highest level of quality.

Tasks and Responsibilities

· Management of all technical documentation required to support Affiliate service component production e.g. hydraulic high-pressure hoses excavator buckets, including; process documentation, supplier documentation, tooling documentation, standards and policies, availability of technical drawings.
· Ensure the availability of bills of material and technical drawings to Affiliate production sites.
· Validate all service component production related technical documentation before publication to SharePoint.
· Redact and publish service bulletins related to technical changes, documentation, tooling and equipment, and other issues related to service component production activities.
· Respond to requests from service component production facilities for technical information and documentation.
· Act as interface between service component production facilities and the Factory (LEC) Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Parts departments.
· Support the setup and commissioning of new service component production operations e.g. high pressure hose and bucket production in Australia, Indonesia and South Africa.
· Carry out periodic audits of global service component production facilities e.g. in Australia and Russia, using defined standards and audit tools
· Manage tooling requirements for service component production and coordinate procurement of tooling investments.
· Work closely with the Parts and Engineering departments to identify additional opportunities for manufacturing service components at Affiliates in addition to hoses and buckets.
· Coordination of training and supplier audits at service component production sites.
· Development of training content for eLearning modules related to service component production.

Organization

· Work closely with the production managers at the global hose production sites.
· Work closely with the LEC Engineering, Quality, Parts and Purchasing departments.
· The position will require approximately 15% international travel.

Requirements

· Fluent English. German and/or French of benefit.
· Strong technical background with good understanding of manufacturing processes.
· Ability to redact technical reports and bulletins.
· Strong communication and relationship skills.
· Must be able to work in multi-cultural team environments.
· Ability to work without direct supervision once goals have been defined.
· Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Windows and Office.
· Familiarity with manufacturing modules of ERP systems of benefit.
