Description of the job

Two vacancies for Process Performance Engineers (m/f) have arisen within Airbus in Toulouse. You will join the Final Assembly Line (FAL).
Process Performance Engineer provides technical assistance (methods, products, etc.) to the Production teams, with the aim of optimising the industrial process, whilst observing safety, cost, quality and lead-time criteria.
You will be a driving force for the implementation of appropriate solutions (methods, processes and organisation) to meet company requirements. You will be in charge of ensuring workload stability and the consolidation of Key Performance Indicators.
You will be involved in various phases of the industrial process, in collaboration with all functions of the company:
• Production design
• Manufacturing engineering and especially Process Engineer
• Manufacturing support.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main missions will be as following:

o Maintaining Standard Time Value (STV) database up to date, and check STV golden rules adherence
o Creating and maintaining Gantt chart
o Creating and maintaining Standard Line Balancing (SLB) and thus enabling Production Pace Control (PPC)
o Monitoring Manufacturing performance and proposing improvements based on analysis of gap
o Reducing Efficiency Loss via time spaces identification, analysis and reduction
o Improving Process and Serial Allocated time via VA/NVA (value added/non value added) analysis and Shop Floor process observation
o Translating industrial requirements to design & supply chain
o Evaluating industrial impacts of modifications
o Defining & Updating the Methods, Process for the Lean Bricks related to STV/SLB
o Ensuring right level of competences of users/stakeholders on STV/SLB
o Supporting the Industrial Architect for industrial set up evolution analysis
o Ensuring coordination of the Lead Time Reduction topics with the Production Group by animating Multi-Functional Team organisation
o Analysing and anticipating the cost of production through monthly economic dashboard and preparing the Airbus Operation Financial plan
o Managing the scheduling of station for the Aircraft with specific customisation, especially regarding the late deliveries from Suppliers

Your objectives will be the following:

o Ensuring the creation of the best industrial sequence, in the definition phase, through early integration of SLB optimisation drivers (Planning, constraints)
o Enabling the best industrial sequence execution to secure delivery within takt with optimised level of resources
o Ensuring continuous monitoring and improvement of manufacturing efficiency
o Setting-up Line Balancing as mandatory pre-requisite for Manufacturing process/sequencing definition and Manufacturing performance monitoring from conception to industrial phase (early Planning /STV)
o Driving Line efficiency with continuous improvement of Line Balancing (right granularity/time referential, white/red space optimisation)
o Supporting process optimisation, maximizing Value Added with priority on critical path

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• 5 year degree in Mechanical and Production/Electrical Engineering or equivalent,
• Knowledge of PERT and GANTT principles, optimisation / simulation tools
• Understanding of complex processes over multiple stations
• Knowledge of build process, in particular the detailed knowledge of the stations in the scope

• Good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to be concise
• Proactive and autonomous approach with the ability to take the initiative and act as a driving force
• Ability to adapt the communication to different publics and levels

• French negotiation
• English advanced desirable.
