Description of the job
A vacancy for a Mechanical Structure Analysis Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. You will be part of the TLS Stress/Detailed Sizing department, responsible for performing detailed sizing analyses and participating in mechanical structure justification (Typical application: Metal structure, elastomers, CFRP and ceramics (SiC)).

Tasks & accountabilities
You will be responsible for the following:
· Drafting the detailed dimensioning note and participating in the justification dossier,
· Participating in design,
· Defining the work plan for detailed mechanical analyses and complying with costs/schedule and quality commitments,
· Checking the relevance of analysis results by experience or by an analytical approach (material strength),
· Creating a mathematical model (finite elements) and calculating all the safety margins,
· Developing the tools & methods required for continuous improvement of our modelling and sizing processes,
· Interfacing with the Designer and reporting back,
· Participating in upstream R&D activities for different technologies.
Profil recherché
Required skills
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
· Mechanical engineering degree (or university equivalent),
· 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering (design office, design, stress, etc.),
· Proficiency in material strength fundamentals,
· Knowledge of (finite element) modelling and digital analysis methods,
· Computer skills: Linux, VBA, (Python, Matlab, etc.) tool development,
· Ideally, knowledge of the mechanical constraints related to the space environment (structure dimensioning rules),
· Knowledge of the technological processes for the most commonly used materials,
· Strong technical skills in the field of mechanics, and a good understanding of physics,
· Good summary and decision-making skills,
· Ability to integrate within a team and adapt.
· Autonomous approach,
· Good interpersonal and communication skills (written/oral),
· Advanced level of English and French.
