A vacancy for a Flight Test Means Hardware/Software Engineer (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Manching. The successful applicant will join “Ground Stations Germany”.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

Be part of the development team for the Manching Flight Test Ground Station

Hardware Integration, Development and Maintenance
¤ Enable Flight Test Campaigns by defining and setting up mobile Flight Test Ground Station facilities
¤ Solve problems by developing special purpose hardware/circuits
¤ Be a specialist in all questions to ground telemetry devices
¤ Ensure operability by managing hardware obsolescence

Software/Tools Development and Maintenance
¤ Be responsible in software projects for hardware remote/automatic operation
¤ Take part in software projects for
¤ Data analysis
¤ Realtime data monitoring
¤ Data access libraries and frameworks
¤ Big data appliances
¤ Data processing

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  University Degree in Electronic Science, Informatics or similar
·  Working Experience in Engineering
·  Experience in Software Design and Software Engineering
·  Experience in Hardware Design
·  Experience in HF- technology
·  Experience in directly dealing with customers and users
·  English fluent
