Description of the job

A vacancy for a FHS Asset Manager has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Blagnac. You will join the SLRP Department and more particularly the FHS assets management team (SLRPA).

You will be responsible for:

·  Optimizing FHS pool configuration,
·  Optimizing FHS pool sizing,
·  Planning pool set up and optimizing part rotation,
·  Participating to SB scan activity to identify impacts on FHS pool of all modifications applicable to FHS assets,
·  Defining planning and allocating assets for FHS forced retrofit campaigns,
·  Following-up retrofit costs and embodiments advancement.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Keeping in mind the objective to have the most valuable assets at the optimum level, defining implementation on the pool as well as on customer's fleet of modifications to keep a stock level as low as possible,
·  For a specific campaign, in coordination with SLR teams, supporting the campaign from a pool asset management perspective and ensuring all assets, including OSS and pool parts, are upgraded at the term of the campaign. Depending on interchangeability and mix ability conditions, depending on customer approvals, adjust pool quantity all along the campaign to be able to support all the A/C whatever their configuration,
·  Ensuring proper pool turnover. Identifying pool surplus and shortage risks. Validating a plan to reduce/increase pool quantities. Coordinating internally the sales of surplus material to brokers or customers. Launching sourcing and procurement activities to buy additional parts,
·  Participating to the SB Scan process and providing inventory impact analysis,
·  Identifying opportunities to standardize the pool,
·  Allocating spares to run the FHS activity,
·  Defining planning to perform FHS activity (incl. retrofit campaigns) and proper pool allocation,
·  Ensuring retrofit has been properly performed and performing retrofit closure through de-sourcing of pre-modification parts,
·  Working with procurement organization and suppliers to obtain and secure best retrofit conditions,
·  Reporting on retrofit activity financial results.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a 5-year degree level (or equivalent) specialized in aeronautical engineering or maintenance engineering,
·  3 to 5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and/or airline operations,
·  Good knowledge of maintenance operations, configuration management and aircraft systems (Avionics, Power plant, Flight controls, Air management, Landing Gear),
·  Knowledge of AIRBUS Technical publications: AMM/MPD/IPC/ TSM/MMEL/ FCOM/SBs/TFU/VSB/SIL,
·  Good communication & presentation skills: interface with Customers and Suppliers,
·  Ability to work in multicultural teams,
·  Good analytical skills (ability to manipulate figures) and synthesis skills (ability to summarize complex technical situations into simple recommendations),
·  Strong negotiation skills (resistance to pressure and sense of urgency),
·  Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects,
·  High level of autonomy
·  Negotiation level of English.
