Job description



Key tasks

- Responsible for wedding and social portfolio.
- Manage enquiries on a daily basis with prompt follow-up.
- To meet yearly wedding / social sales targets
- Conduct site-inspection of the property with potential couples
- Manage Wedding and social events, from booking and contracting, to the planning process in order to ensure a successful event from pre-arrival to post departure.
- Coordinate all aspects and details of agenda.
- Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc.
- To strategize and implement ways to improve in wedding revenue
- Responsible for organizing wedding workshops (Both internal and external)
- Disseminate event information to the appropriate departments - banquet event orders, and rooming lists in a professional and timely manner
- Works closely with the Banquet Managers and their team to create and ensure quality levels are being met on a daily basis as well as enhancing overall banquet set-ups.
- Provide weekly forecasts to Director of Event Sales & Services.
- To maximize total food and beverage profits by effectively using the physical assets of the department.
- Ensure that strategies and practices are in place to achieve financial and service quality targets.
- Achieves a level of service quality and professionalism that consistently meets and preferably exceeds the expectations of guests.
- Answers all correspondence and enquiries received during the working week within 24 hours of receipt; maintain good public relations with customers.
- Treats customers and colleagues from all cultural groups with respect, sensitivity and transparency.
- Responsible to the Director of Event Sales & Services
- In his/her absence, the Assistant Wedding & Social Events Manager may be replaced first by the respective personnel in the Catering Sales appointed by the Director of Event Sales & Services
- To be ready and responsible to perform any other duties as designated or required by Management from time to time.
