Job description

Purpose

Managing on-hand inventory (Finished Goods) and stock replenishments in the short-term horizon to ensure continuity of supply to China Market.

Key Responsibilities

·  Manages the short-term (inside STH) replenishment plan, ensure supply for customers and patients, to achieve supply, service and cost objectives.
·  Manages supply issues through expediting importation, lab testing and quality release in the event of supply shortage.
·  Coordinate across different functions, managing communication and track the status of stock from importation to available for sale. Escalate to Demand Planner in event of supply constraints / issues.
·  Flag write-off risks through the local S&OP platform and take measures to mitigate imminent write-offs.
·  Ensures correct material master data.
·  Follow-up with Order & Distribution Managers (ODM) to ensure goods are supplied with approved artwork and paperwork.
·  Point of contact for channel management team to assess stock availability for 3rd party clinical trial purchases. Works with Order Manager to set up and maintain order controls in the system.
·  Accountable for Backlog, Stock-out KPIs and inventory value; monthly reporting in the system.

Function/tasks

·  Monitoring and if necessary adjust Purchase Orders delivery plan to Roche China to meet cost and service objectives.
·  Close monitoring of orders/deliveries and inventory level from FHLR (both internal and external packaging sites) and follow-up with ODM.
·  Coordination of activities with ODM and/or Demand Planner for low stock or potential backlogs and stock-outs to ensure supply capability in the short term.
·  Coordination of activities with CMA and BU on allocation in supply constraints.
·  Maintains Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) in the planning system in consultation with Demand Planner.
·  Management of stock to achieve the optimum balance between capability and efficiency.
·  Proactive detection of backlog / stockout / write-off risks, escalate to Demand Planner. Lead local cross-functional departments to drive possible countermeasures.
·  Coordination of order delivery dates with ODM ensuring compliance with artwork and regulatory requirements.
·  Central point of contact for local and global interfaces in regards to artwork change implementation.
·  Central point of contact for local and global interfaces in regards to changes (includes but not limited to: regulatory changes, site changes, etc)
·  Leading local cross-function team to control, communicate and initiate measures to avert or minimize impending delivery bottlenecks and to correct any delivery bottlenecks.
·  Prompt escalation of any inability to deliver.
·  Regular maintenance of master data in the systems.
·  Agree Service Level with Demand Planner.
·  Periodic evaluations as well as ad-hoc analysis as required.
·  Participates in local/global projects where required.

Qualifications (education/experience/knowledge/skills/competencies)

·  Degree in Business/Supply Chain Logistics discipline or equivalent
·  Good understanding of the interfaces and processes in supply chain, demand planning, procurement and inventory management.
·  High level of self-drive, initiative, result orientation and assertiveness
·  Able to work in a complex and dynamic environment with the ability to prioritise
·  High degree of independence, managing local and global stakeholders
·  Experience in SAP, APO-SNP and preferably Artwork Management System (e.g. Alpin)
·  Fluent in English spoken and written. Fluent Mandarin spoken and written will be an added advantage.
