Job description

Objective of the job:

The objective of this role is to work with both the Metro Application Team and the Global Technology Services team to make sure Metro application infrastructure is kept in good shape. This role includes both development and maintenance type of activities starting from leading and managing code deployments to operational related matters like system performance monitoring and system problem resolution even on non-office hours. All this is being performed in an Agile operating model and culture.

Responsibilities:

Metro system administrator's responsibilities are including:
·  Coordinating code and configuration deployments
·  Working with internal service providers to make sure Metro infrastructure is up and running
·  Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems
·  Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing Metro environment
·  Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes
·  Installing and configuring new hardware and software
·  Answering technical queries and assisting the application team
·  Responsibility for security and application compliance
·  Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system
·  Troubleshooting any reported problems
·  System performance tuning
·  Configuring, adding, and deleting file systems
