Staff Software Engineer

Job description

Staff Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, Austin, TX: Design, implement, and troubleshoot L3 routing for hardware and virtual cloud networking. Deploy and manage cloud environment. Troubleshoot issues. Create operator and client-facing API's for network microservices. Document design, implementation, and testing. Integrate and test systems. Deploy, configure, and test hardware compatibility with cloud system code. Utilize switching and routing networking, virtualization, and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP). Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computing, Information Systems, or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as an Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing switching and routing networking, virtualization, and BGP. Full time. G491.
