Software Developer

Job description

IBM is looking for a software developer with a demonstrated background in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm Chart creation, and networking to work within an elite squad developing and supporting a Linux based Network Edge Gateway and virtual stack for both IBM Cloud SaaS and on premise offerings. You will be working within a dynamic environment with leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities:

· Develop solutions relevant to supporting IBM Gateway deployments in K8s, docker,
Linux, and virtual environments
· Support customers as they use our solutions including direct consultation, responding to questions, and fixing problems
· Work within the overall development team for IBM Gateways with the common goal of developing and supporting the overall appliance
· Lead small teams for specific development projects

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

· 2 years of experience Docker, Kubernetes & Helm Charts
· 3 plus years of experience in VMware and other virtualization platforms
· Demonstrated experience with multiple programming languages
· 3 years of experience with Linux, Redis, and REST are a plus
· 3-4 years of experience in Network Security protocols, RFCs and W3C networking standards are a plus
