Research Staff Member, IBM Corporation, Yorktown Heights, New York: Conduct research in application of artificial learning (AI) and machine learning applied to cyber security challenges, system and cloud security, and security services. Design protocols and implement data collectors to monitor compute workloads in the enterprises and compute clouds. Research behavior-based detection of cyber attacks and threats using AI and machine learning technologies to create models of normal behavior and detect deviations. Devise technologies and methodologies to inject decoys and traps in computer systems to misdirect cyber criminals and adversaries. Design solutions for performing data analytics over security data and enable cyber threat investigation. Build new and innovative solutions. File patents. Publish papers and present them at industry leading conferences. Utilize empirical research methodologies, network security analytics using machine learning and data mining techniques, big data analytics, experience in driving novel technologies from inception to adoption, software system design and engineering, web security and telemetry, and security information visualization. Required: PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related and two (2) years of experience as a Researcher, Software Engineer, or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing empirical research methodologies, network security analytics using machine learning and data mining techniques, big data analytics, experience in driving novel technologies from inception to adoption, software system design and engineering, web security and telemetry, and security information visualization.
