Network Architect

Job description

As a Network Architect, you will be assigned to various projects acting as an expert network architectural resource.

Your main responsibilities will be:

·  To deliver network expertise and maturity to plan and design network solutions for various IBM customers, as well as for IBM.
·  Expected to interact and cooperate with both IBM and customer executives in order to present to decision makers highly complex network architectures on a business level.
·  You will also interact with other competencies architects, Project Managers, technical teams and management to drive solutions through hands off and follow up.
·  You will create technical documents such as business cases, architecture diagrams, presentations, and hold reviews on the final implementation of these solutions.
·  You will also occasionally act as a Level 3 network support for Major Incidents to assist in driving IBM/vendors to resolution of major incidents within the network domain.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

- CCNP or higher proven knowledge and experience (CCNP certificate required)
- 5+ years of architectural working experience
- Excellent knowledge of network solutions integration with focus/specialization in one of the following domains:
·  DC technologies and architectures – Cisco Nexus platform
·  Software define networking/Network function virtualization (ACI, NSX, Openflow)
·  WAN technologies and architectures – BGP, MPLS VPN, OSPF, Ipv6
·  Security technologies and architectures - Experience in network support
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Flexibility, ability to travel occasionally

- CCIE R&S/Security/ Datacenter certification or certifications.
- Multi-vendor technologies: Cisco, Checkpoint, Juniper, Bluecoat
- Architectural experience with expert knowledge of various areas of networking, specializing in Routing/ Switching/ Security/ VoIP/ Wireless/ Other
- University degree in IT
- Experience in working in ITIL/ ITUP environment
