Memory Product Engineer (Poughkeepsie, NY)

Job description

Looking to expand/apply your knowledge of Memory technologies and support leading edge Memory sub-system design teams? This position, within the IBM Supply Chain Engineering Electronic Technologies team, can satisfy that need. We have an immediate need for a Memory Product Engineer. As a Product Engineer you will work closely with IBM Development/Research and the world's leading Memory Suppliers to ensure that leading edge Memory technologies are enabled to support IBM product introductions. You will utilize your technical and leadership skills to manage all aspects of your assigned Memory responsibilities such as: Program Management of Early User Hardware, qualification of new technologies, resolution of quality/reliability problems and communication of technical roadmap specifications/requirements. You will work closely with Suppliers to proactively manage quality, detect potential problems early and drive continuous improvement activities. Also, work with IBM Memory Development system designers around the world in support of IBM hardware product development and with IBM manufacturing to ensure that the Memory technologies meets specified quality requirements and resolving technical issues. Skills for this position require applicants who are adept at managing complex schedules and technical issues within a dynamic business environment. Some travel, both domestic and international, may be required..

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Strong knowledge of Engineering Principles, Device Quality/Reliability techniques, and Memory sub-system hardware design fundamentals with an understanding of how various Memory components are manufactured and used. Strong teamwork, multi-tasking, program management and communication skills are required.
