Job description

Computer Operators are responsible for running computer operations as well as ensuring that computer systems and hardware are in good working order. Their tasks include maintaining work order schedules, inputting commands into computer terminals, performing routine maintenance and installing software updates along with a myriad of other tasks.
Possess communication skills and be able to follow directions
Time management skills are essential in order to ensure work orders are completed on time
Must be willing to work irregular hours and occasional weekends
Should have a positive attitude and work well with others
Degree in Information Systems or other IT related areas
Experience working with mainframe systems
Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of mainframe functions and its subsystems: zOS, DB2, Storage, Automation (Netview) and TWS/IzWS
Capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision
Possess strong communication skills and be able to follow directions
Exemplify analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot mainframe problems that may arise
Superior time management skills are essential in order to ensure work orders are completed on time
Should have a positive attitude and work well with others
