As an enterprise Business Development Sales Specialist, you will partner with customers, Business Partners, ISVs, our sales and technical sales team and several other regional and global IBM teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient IBM z solution that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of IBM software and services on the platform.

The IBM z Software Business Development Sales Specialist will focus on vendor based software solutions for both z/OS and Linux on z, in the ASEAN region, While domain knowledge in this space would be highly desirable, the candidate will be joining a team of mainframe hardware and software experts and learn what it takes to assess the market needs, create business cases showing the benefit to the ISVs, work with clients to take product offerings and turn them into meaningful business results leveraging ISV products and technologies.

The individual will be a key and active member of our Cloud sales organization and responsible to meet/exceed client expectations and key business measurements,
incremental pipeline, to displace competitors and accelerate revenue growth.

The candidate must be a quick learner to become knowledgeable in the trends and directions of various ISV areas such as payments, core banking, etc.

To accomplish this goal he / she must develop or have a:
·  Proven Knowledge of the IBM solution portfolio consent
·  Ability to position IBM technologies and Z based solutions against competition
·  Understand Vendor based solutions on Z
·  Create business cases showing the mutual benefit
·  Manage, Track and report business partner solution enablement / go to market progress.
·  Work with vendors or Business partners in solution selling
·  Good understanding of IBM channel structure.

Required Professional Expertise
·  At least 2-year experience cultivating strategic external relationships (ISVs, channel, SI, etc)
·  Ideally Working knowledge of Linux on Z and zOS
·  Proven negotiation, collaboration, and problem solving skills
·  Self-motivated
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
·  At least 3 years' experience with Software Sales with prior experience in a creating, negotiating large software deals
·  Experience migrating, transforming and modernization of legacy software solutions
·  Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
·  Strong written communication skills
·  High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
·  Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
