Job description

Providing day to day support and administration of DB2 for LUW or Oracle database.
Maintaining a high level of availability of services and minimizing the risk of exposure to system downtime through continual monitoring of key systems.
Analyze systems proactively to identify problems and trends and propose technical solutions and recommend changes to optimize system performance and usability.
Create and support database environment and maintain database systems. Main scope of actions: Patching, version upgrades, backup management, cluster management.
Improving system & automating repetitive jobs, database tuning.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

·  Language: English (mandatory).
·  Basic knowledge of Unix environment (terminal command line) and SQL language basics is a must.
·  Willingness to continually learn in a database environment is the key.
