Our team in Brussels is helping our clients fight terrorism, support national defense, and ensure safety of Belgian and European citizens. We help clients to expertly staff their teams and support their technical projects using augmented intelligence. We develop innovative platforms for intelligence analysis, defense operations, and back office optimizations using industry leading capabilities such as cognitive computing, big data analytics, and design thinking. Our interns inject new thinking, and help us implement existing and new requirements, and audition for future employment.
What the team does:
· Development and refinement of cognitive matching capabilities to better match candidates against positions using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
· The development of taxonomies, dictionaries and ontologies describing industries, jobs, and positions.
· The application of cognitive technologies, HR, and staffing domain
· Realizing an effective mechanism for creating and interpreting job descriptions, parsing CVs and resumes and matching candidates to jobs. As an intern, you will:
· Apply IBMs Cognitive Watson technologies to solve real client problems
· Work in a multi-disciplinary technology consulting team
· Work in a project-based environment with other interns and IBM mentors.
· Have access to IBM's global technology capabilities and expertise
· Own and execute your own project from beginning to end

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Requirements for the position:
· Understanding of data models and data science concepts such as: dictionaries, ontologies, and other semantic web concepts.
· Understanding and experience in machine learning and neural networks
· Experience with modern development language such as Java Script, Python, and corresponding libraries and packages for manipulating and analyzing data.
· Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing)
