Application Business Analyst

Job description

The position holder is responsible for the following:

- Program management / certain tasks in project management
- Planning
- Process Modelling
- Process Design and Analysis
- Guidance and Support
- Execution of BTMS Process
to ensure that business objectives and customer satisfaction are met.

Overall management
• Overall management and administration of the application.
• Serve as Focal point for all application related issues.
• Provide business direction and control for international teams
• Ensure application business measurements (plan vs. actual costs) are sufficient to support
the business process
• Measure and report SLA attainment and business performance measurements
• Support contract development / management with procurement, contractors, and vendors -
as applicable
• Track and manage actual year's development, maintenance and run budget, actively participate in financial planning of the deployed portfolio.

Change/problem management
• Establish production change and problem management procedures, support status
and prioritization reviews
• Establish and participate in Month-end/Quarter-end/Critical run support processes to ensure application stability to support the business fulfilling all orders without revenue impact
• Develop and maintain critical situation escalation procedures
• Develop disaster recovery test and execution plans. Assist in testing - as appropriate

Compliance
• Ensure compliancy for all applicable Corporate Instructions and I/T standards, specifically, but not limited to the following:
• CI127 (Disaster Recovery) compliance for Vital applications
• ASCA and Separation of Duties (SoD) Compliance
Obtains I/T exceptions where required.
• Specify all required security controls, establish the "business need" criteria for allowing and periodically revalidating user access to application and IBM Confidential data, and for handling any ongoing application security administration during the application lifecycle.
• Participate in application and compliance audits
• Ensure and maintain access controls for the asset, key measurements and tracking mechanisms are in place as required
• Ensure the accuracy & completeness of the BTMT asset record, including validations- as required
• Ensure processing controls are in place for the application (e.g. balance, reconciliation, exception processing, data transmission, etc.)

Business transformation
• Identify new operations and service requirements, and follow all respective software roadmaps for the deployed portfolio,
• Provide productivity recommendations
• Cooperate with BT and project teams, drive performance optimization
