1-Year Placement Student - Application Development and Support (GBS)

The HK IBM GBS Placement Student / Summer Internship Program lasts for 3-12 months, depends on the project requirements.

Students with outstanding performance will be offered a fast track opportunity to GBS Consulting trainee programme.

Under direction of experienced IBM professionals, our placement students are required to perform following tasks:
·  Application programming for enterprise applications across emerging solutions such as Cloud Computing, Blockchain, Cognitive Computing, Mobile, etc.;
·  Perform test execution, support, incident support, problem diagnosis, program bug fixing and re-test.
·  Supporting project management office tasks such as tracking and reporting of project status and action items, etc.
·  Supporting project consultants to conduct requirement gathering, process analysis and documentation
Our Requirements:
·  Second year or penultimate year student in any local university of Hong Kong.
·  Under the 1-year Placement Student program, student is required to complete the whole 12-month program period as committed between the university and IBM.
·  Possesses adequate knowledge and concepts in application programming.
·  Student who studies Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent degree courses is preferred.
·  With passion in the IT consulting career.
·  Self-confident communication and presentation skills with strong business sense
·  Possesses an excellent command of written & spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin will be an advantage.
