Job description

The role is a client facing role developing relationships with retail customers. A primary area of focus for this role is to provide life, critical illness and income protection insurance solutions to mortgage and retail customers. The role holder will be expected to coach branch colleagues to identify appropriate referrals.

The identification of opportunities for wealth reviews and delivering wealth solutions as an adviser are amongst the key activities to achieve your goals as complied with local regulatory requirement.

The Retail Financial Adviser will also support our Premier customers and will be required to work with the team to support our contact strategy as well as customer facing duties.

Your responsibilities will include:
· Achieve agreed Key Performance Indicator objectives by development of existing and new relationships
· Build effective relationships with clients to retain and develop sustainable relationships
· Complete regular reviews with clients to understand their current and long term needs and advise them on the products and services that help them achieve their goals
· Monitor and act on daily sales activity management information and other internal information tools, using them to coach the wider Branch team in support of business goals
· Maintain a deep understanding and technical knowledge of relevant products and services available from Group sources and elsewhere in order to provide the best solutions for clients and maximise revenues for Global Wealth and the Group
· Maintain highest standard of excellence in client service across the team and with individual portfolio - Ongoing analysis of client portfolios through marketing of ideas and researching clients
· Monitor client satisfaction data implementing portfolio level improvements
· Proactively support others through direct and indirect actions beyond activities particular to this role
· Manage operational risk, by using relevant Management Information to identify risk situations and take any appropriate action to minimise loss

Desired profile

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for this role will have:
·  Role relevant qualifications, i.e. CII R01 and R05, and working towards the Regulated Diploma in Financial Advice
·  Availability to work the shift pattern required for this role, i.e. working occasional Saturdays and evenings will be required to ensure we meet client requirements.
·  Willingness to undertake the training/study required in this role, i.e. full support will be provided to gain Regulated Diploma in Financial Planning for the right candidate.
·  Experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Retail Banking with a Wealth Management focus is desirable but not essential
·  Worked collaboratively with other colleagues, supporting them when possible
·  Experience of making timely and rational decisions, based on relevant information and experience
·  Experience of effectively using your knowledge of credit products, processes and risks to make fair and informed lending decisions that meet customers' needs
·  A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services and experience of working within these
·  Use business knowledge and understanding of customer needs to successfully manage and grow customer relationships
·  Demonstrated an ability to match products and services with clients' needs to generate sales in an ethical manner
