We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate CMB Strategy, Global Strategy.

Principal Responsibilities

·  This role reports into the Head of CMB Strategy. The job holder has the opportunity to participate across strategic initiatives focused on delivering maximum value in CMB for the Group shareholder
·  Undertake analysis to support the development and track execution of CMB strategy
·  Develop key insights for CMB strategy
·  Identifying key issues / opportunities and using HSBC and external sources to provide actionable recommendations for the CMB
·  Effectively communicate (both written and oral) analyses across internal stakeholders – within CMB strategy, across strategy colleagues in the bank and across other functions within CMB
·  Participation in strategic CMB projects or Group-wide initiatives assessing structural long term opportunities for HSBC leveraging CMB capabilities
·  Provide support to Engagement Managers and Directors, as required on strategic reviews and to improve quality of strategic planning, management information (MI), accountability and governance
·  Ensure proper and timely consideration of market, industry and competitor analysis to support planning and performance management activities

Requirements

·  Strong problem solving skills and well developed analytical skills
·  Knowledge of using external sources such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ etc helpful but not necessary
·  Ability to work independently and able to work in a small team with a flat structure to work collaboratively in a team environment
