Assistant Risk Strategy Manager

Hang Seng's Risk and Compliance ("RKM") strives to maintain a well-balanced risk profile for the Bank while enabling businesses to thrive. Our team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types. We are dedicated to collaborate with businesses, other functional units and regulatory bodies to develop and implement robust and customized risk management frameworks and measures to maintain the strong market position of the Bank.

Risk Strategy is stewarding the developing and monitoring of the Risk Appetite Statement of the Bank to comply with risk, business and regulatory priorities and overseeing the pension risk management of the Bank's major pension schemes.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Assistant Risk Strategy Manager.

Principal responsibilities

· Assist the line manger to formulate risk appetite framework and establish risk appetite statement of the Bank.
· Compile the regular reporting relating to risk appetite profile of the Bank.
· Compile wholesale credit portfolio management information for the review and monitoring of asset quality such as loan growth, loan impairment changes and risk weighted assets.
· Assist the line manager to perform analysis on credit portfolio trends and variance analysis to support the portfolio management.
· Perform data quality checking and enhance efficiency of analysis by exploring new methodology and automate current process.
· Prepare user requirement and participate in system testing relating to credit risk database or reporting system.
· Assist the line manger to perform pension risk oversight through the review of pension schemes, pension asset and liability management, fund management, prepare pension risk related reporting, etc.
· Assist the department in internal control and general administration matters of the Department.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Requirements

·  University degree in Finance, Economics, Information Management, Statistics, related field or equivalent experience OR related discipline.
·  Minimum 2 year's relevant banking experience with knowledge in risk management, portfolio management, and/or regulatory requirement relating to capital management.
·  Experience in MIS and data analysis using SAS / MS Access / Excel.
·  Experience in pension risk, insurance risk and fund management is a plus.
·  Self-motivated, strong analytical mindset, able to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
·  Good communication, analytical, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills.
·  Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
