Global Risk

Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, operational, credit, pension, insurance,
compliance, regulatory, market, reputation and geopolitical risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Assistant Manager Central Credit Reference Information System (CRIS).

Principal Accountabilities:

· Manage the Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS) team;
· Main contact for CCRIS guidelines, data definitions and submission procedures;
· Representative for CCRIS User Group and participates in all meetings organised by The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) with representatives from other Banks;
· Accountable for all updated and new guidelines, queries, issues and enhancements highlighted by BNM and ABM;
· Ensure and maintain a good working relationship with BNM's CCRIS team;
· Provides updates and appropriate response to BNM's queries within the strict stipulated deadlines;
· Organise and participate in meetings with BNM's CCRIS team and internal meetings relating to CCRIS;
· Supervises the management of CCRIS submission requirements set by BNM;
· Supervises the correspondences and follow-up with all units within HSBC Malaysia (HBMY) and HSBC Amanah (HBMS) to provide feedback to BNM and to ensure all error entries are rectified before and after the CCRIS files are transmitted to BNM's server;
· Accountable for the CCRIS servers and works closely with the IT team as well as the relevant vendors for server support, maintenance and enhancement;
· Manages and supports all CCRIS users with their queries and problems relating to CCRIS B2B System and Front-End System (iVest);
· Manages the creation and deletion of CCRIS users;
· Manages the CCRIS charges reports;
· Manages CCRIS related projects to improve productivity, data integrity and enhancement of system;
· Conducts CCRIS clinics and presentation organised by BNM for overseas participants;
· Ensure compliance to CCRIS guidelines.

Desired profile

Requirements:

·  Preferably a degree qualification with related working experience;
·  Computer literacy and systems aptitude are essential. Competency in SQL will be an added advantage;
·  Able to work under pressure and meet pressing deadlines to ensure service standards are not compromised;
·  Pro-active approach to problem solving;
·  Able to work independently under minimal supervision;
·  Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills;
·  A team player with good organisational skills and able to prioritise work;
·  Fluency in both spoken and written English;
·  Knowledge of general banking, consumer credit policies, banking operations and systems procedures will be an added advantage.
