Role Summary/Purpose

The Turbine Technician will perform any or all of the operations necessary for the assembly/disassembly, test prep/de-prep and test support of gas turbine engines (LM1600, LM2500) components, and accessories in accordance with appropriate technical specifications and/or standard work practices.
Essential Responsibilities

Ability to follow test procedures, perform point to point checks (knowledge of properly installed tubing fittings, ability to follow F&ID’s to identify tube connections).
Knowledge of maintenance and operation of test equipment.
Troubleshoot in-process problems, malfunctions, or component failures.
Use all types of precision measuring instruments and devices, hand and power tools, shop equipment and machinery.
Complete necessary forms and log sheets as assigned, neatly, accurately and legibly.
Ability to work flexible hours (overtime/shifted hours).
Team player.
Maintain test equipment.
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to promote safety and prevent Foreign Object Damage.
Create inspection and assembly reports.
Conform to all safety and quality requirements and compliance with current policies.
Perform all duties as part of a team and serve as change agent to help improve on current processes
Maintain facilities, materials, and work areas orderly by exercising good housekeeping practice
Qualifications/Requirements

High School diploma (fagbrev) with relevant work experience or equivalent knowledge or experience
Basic mechanical knowledge & experience
Basic computer skills and basic knowledge about Microsoft Office applications
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to read and communicate in the English language.
Ability to understand and follow work scope instructions.
Basic knowledge and skills in the use of various hand tools including but not limited to torque wrenches, transducers, multipliers, dial indicators, micrometers, scales, pressure regulators, gauges and other precision instrumentation.
Must be willing to get certified to operate overhead cranes, as well as, operate industrial forklifts.
Must have thorough knowledge of FOD/DOD prevention and control.
Must be able to read, evaluate, and respond to product specifications and drawings including GEK’s (Engine Manuals).
Must be able to read & interpret service repair manuals and technical publications to determine work procedures
Desired Characteristics

Aircraft engine technician.
Relevant prior Aero engine assembly/disassembly experience.
Basic turbine mechanical and hydraulic experience.
Borescope experience
