Summary: 

In this Role, you will be responsible for leading monthly P&B process, including but not limited to salary data collection & input, benefit calculation, payment payout, Tax reports preparation, etc. 

 

Essential Responsibilities:  

  • Monthly Payroll and Benefit processes, ensuring that high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained based on compliance with country legislation and GE Vernova policy requirements. 

  • Interface with Total Rewards and Business HR team to identify and address any administrative needs related to global compensation and benefit programs. Leverage expertise to produce solutions that enable global consistency and standardization and facilitate exceptional performance. 

  • Participate in governance process used for analysis and approval of payroll work requests and projects. 

  • Collaborate with P&B third party vendors to understand payroll & benefits calculations and the impact on payroll output. 

  • Support relevant Yearly or Ad-hoc internal and external Audit. 

  • Proactively identify and drive continuous improvements within assigned processes, work closely with cross functional teams to propose improvements to increase productivity. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across team to ensure open communications that supports an effective partnership. 

  • Manage the Payroll KPIs and leverage metrics to identify trends or problems to maintain and improve performance levels. 

  • Ensure P&B SOP are maintained in time to make all process is ready with correct deliveries to be aligned with global goals. 

  • Manage Vendor performance by reviewing monthly KPI to have them implement necessary 

  • solutions for improved service delivery. 

  • Be the payroll and benefit policy expert and be able to work with product owners on design ideas. 

  • Drive and enhance employee communication and end user service experience.  

 

Qualifications Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.  

  • Minimum 2 years of experience Payroll and Benefit or a similar role.  

  • Strong knowledge of in country Payroll & Benefit regulations. 

  • Fluent in both English & Chinese mandarin. 

  • Skillful in MS Office, e.g. Excel, PPT.

  • Experience of a HR or Operations process ownership role in a fast-paced, customer- oriented environment within a large organization 

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, high standard of accuracy, an attention to detail, and excellent follow-up skills 

  • Proficient IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook 

  • Experience establishing and maintaining fully collaborative supplier relationships 

  • Self-starter who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision 

  • Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges 

  • Solid analytical skills including the ability to identify trends and implement process improvements 

  • Effective interpersonal skills; proven ability to develop and maintain team and client 

  • relationships, both in immediate and remote contexts 

  • Strong presentation and status reporting skills 

  • Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics 

  • Demonstrated project ownership and accountability
