Role Summary/Purpose

You will supporting and have close collaboration with COE functional teams, providence guidance, and support from the authorization perspective; ensuring realistic effort estimates, documentation, and testing by using best SAP practices related. You will supporting project activities such as impact analysis, evaluation, template structure and testing activities from authorization view, ensuring delivery of requirements is on track within overall program and release management.
Essential Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
• Provide guidance and support functional teams with requirements, impact analysis and evaluation of authorization solutions (i.e business user roles, support user roles, firefighter user roles, technical user roles, functional user roles, etc.)
• Support functional teams to ensure efficient adherence to PowerMax (Global GE Power Gas ERP solution) change management procedures.
• Ensure realistic effort estimates.
• Provide guidance during the intake process, documentation and test plans are followed.
• Organize and ensure planning is aligned with the overall program, deployments and release management processes and delivered as plan.
• Act as single point of contact for project and deployment teams for resolution of access management issues.
• Team player and work closely with the team members to coach, clarify, and resolve any open questions and issues.
• Manage priorities and ensure tracking of authorization delivery.
• Assist functional teams with other authorization solutions like encryption, security, cyber security, certificates and related topics.
• Proactive collaboration with multiple delivery teams (i.e. Configuration/Customizing, Development, Basis, Release Management, Test Management, etc. across all geo-locations).
• Be expert at applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
• Be able to document procedures for building and deploying (authorization area)
• Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project.
• Participate in further evolution of the existing template.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for existing solution.
• Secure knowledge transition and retention inside the team and support team.
• Contribute to planning and strategy with his/her ideas. Draw off experience in order to influence others.
• Help business develop an overall strategy for deploying a correct access management to the Power GE Gas SAP applications.
Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
• A minimum of 5 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across disciplines and functions within a product OR Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience delivering at least 1-2 SAP full global deployments.
• Ability to thrive and succeed in a fast paced, uncertain environment where things may not always be clearly defined.
• Strong organization and project management skills with attention to detail.
• In depth knowledge of authorization and access management in SAP applications: ERP, BW, BW/4 HANA, S/4 HANA, PI, Netweaver, Portal, GRC, Solution Manager, CUA, etc.
• In depth experience in designing and implementing SAP solutions in Access Management area.
• Experience in SAP implementation methodology (V-Model: Analyse, Design, Build, Test & Training).
• Experience in incident/problem handling.
• Experience with the change management process.
• Must be willing to travel 0%-20%.

Technical Expertise:
• Facilitates and coaches team sessions on requirements estimation and alternative approaches to team. Leads a community of practice around estimation to share best practices among teams.
• Knowledgeable about developments in UX in various contexts, businesses, and industries. Quantifies effectiveness of design choices by gathering data. Drives accountability and adoption. Publishes guidance and documentation to promote adoption of design. Proposes design solutions based on research and synthesis; creates general design principles that capture the vision and critical concerns for a program.
• Demonstrates mastery of the intricacies of interactions and dynamics in Agile teams. Demonstrates advanced understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles (e.g., Black belt certified). Guides new teams to adopt Agile, troubleshoots adoption efforts, and guide continuous improvement. Provides training on Lean / Agile. Drives elimination of inefficiencies in coding process. Teaches XP practices to others. Actively embraces new methods and practices that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Extensive experience running large scale SAP rollouts in mid to large size enterprises.
• Strong hands on experience in SAP Access & Authorization Management delivery methodologies.
• Strong business and systems acumen with clear thinking abilities to drive desired outcomes.
• Solid understanding of state-of-the-art SAP authorization concept in global SAP solutions.
• Excellent project management skills with tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira etc.
• Ability to understand end to end solutions extending beyond SAP modules.
• Good understanding of at least two topics listed under “Compliance-related”.
• Good understanding of most of the topics under “IAM Strategy”.

• Evaluates technology to drive features and roadmaps. Maps technology trends to internal vision. Differentiates buzzwords from value proposition. Embraces technology trends that drive excellence beyond traditional practices (e.g., Test automation in lieu of traditional QA practices).

Desired Characteristics

• Minimum 7 years of experience with “SAP Authorization Services” with background in delivery, deployment and change management.
• Deep understanding and working knowledge of SAP deployment cutovers spanning diverse teams and integrated systems.
• Experience with a large transformational effort is desired. Proven experience in leading global teams and working effectively in a matrix organization model.
• Strong communication skills, ability to develop partnership with cross functional teams and develop an inclusive & collaborative environment.
• Experience working with remote/global teams and ability to travel as needed to ensure success of the projects.
• Practical exposure to, and experienced in, IT Service Management with process oriented perspective.
• Experience with driving Agile delivery execution leveraging DevOps principles across a global team.
• Strong ability to guide and influence a highly matrixed and cross-functional team.
• Ability to manage and drive change across the organization. Be able to motivate the team and drive clear accountability & responsibility within the team.
• Excellent negotiating and influencing skills at all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of ITIL is a benefit.
• SAP certification in Access and Authorization Management is a benefit.
• Experience with driving Agile delivery execution leveraging DevOps principles across a global team.
