Role Summary/Purpose

The SCADA & Network Support Engineer will be responsible to lead the resolution of technical issues which affect the reliable operation of SCADA systems of the Offshore wind turbines. He/She will also monitor the status of the wind farm network and face the network failures by proposing a solution or requesting support to engineering team.
Essential Responsibilities

Assure un rôle de Product Service Engineer (PSE) en relation directe avec les équipes du département Service, Ingénierie et IT consistant à identifier les causes des problèmes techniques affectant les systèmes SCADA et les systèmes de communication des fermes éoliennes offshores, à développer des plans d’actions correctives et préventives, en vérifier l'efficacité et aider à leur implémentation sur l’ensemble des fermes. Elle/il aura pour objectif de collecter et d’analyser les données des systèmes défaillants, d'expliquer les causes des incidents, de valider les actions correctives et supporter les équipes qui installeront les nouvelles solutions. Elle/il présentera les résultats des analyses en interne, en externe devant les représentants des Clients et à différents niveaux de responsabilité.
Sera responsable du plan de maintenance des systèmes SCADA en opération, basé sur de la documentation technique fournie par l’Ingénierie et elle/il assurera le management des configurations des équipements et logiciels
Elle/ Il:
• Assure le support technique des équipes sur site qui font la maintenance des systèmes SCADA.
• Fournit un support technique pour faire face aux problèmes techniques et définir les actions de correction immédiates
• Collabore avec les autres fonctions pour déterminer les causes réelles des problèmes et définir les plans d’actions correctives et préventives pour l’ensemble de la flotte
• Participe à la préparation des guides de dépannage des systèmes SCADA
• Conduit des plans d’amélioration (produit et processus) pour améliorer les performances des Systèmes SCADA et des réseaux
• Assure le transfert de savoir sur les systèmes SCADA et les réseaux de communication au sein du département Service.

The SCADA system functions of our off-shore wind farms are the real-time monitoring & operation of the turbines controller and wind park controller, and the acquisition of the historical data of these controllers.
The internal network of the wind farms provides the communication links required to any data flow. If it is mostly used by the SCADA system, other services as voice over IP, video streams, also require network to be maintained fully operational.
These services are hosted in virtual environments.

Main responsabilities :
- Work as a “PSE” role, working closely with Service, IT and Engineering teams to isolate root cause of technical issues the SCADA systems & the IT structure of the wind farms, develop both corrective and preventive actions, validates the effectiveness of corrective actions and support the implementation of those actions across the affected fleet. She/he is expected to collect and analyze data from the affected SCADA systems, carries-out data-driven analyses for explaining the root cause of the issue. He takes measurements on operating systems if required, develops corrective actions, validates the corrective actions and supports the teams implementing the solutions. He will present the work both internally and to customers at all levels of responsibility.
- Be also the responsible of the maintenance plan of the SCADA systems in operation, based on technical documentation provided by engineering. She/he will manage the Scada hardware/software configurations.
In addition, she/he:
• Support the site teams for doing the maintenance of the SCADA systems.
• Supports the Fleet Performance Engineers to characterize the technical issues and to establish the first containment actions.
• Collaborates with other Renewables functions to determine root cause and define both corrective and preventive actions for fleet issues
• Contributes to preparation of the troubleshooting guides for the SCADA systems
• Lead improvement projects (product & processes) to prevent failures on SCADA systems or network.
• Collaborates on SCADA and network technical knowledge within the Service department
Qualifications/Requirements

Niveau Master en génie électrique, IT, aéronautique ou en génie industriel d’une Ecole d’ingénieurs ou d’une université.
5 ans minimum d’expérience dans le domaine technique.
3 ans minimum d’expérience dans un fonction d’Engineering dans les secteurs de l’Energie ou IT

Master’s Degree in Electrical, IT, Aerospace, Marine or Industrial Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 5 years of professional technical experience
Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in an engineering function within the Energy or IT sectors

• Grande connaissance des protocoles de communication (OPC DA 2.0, WebServices, MODBUS), du langage SQL et des matériels des systèmes SCADA.

• Bonne connaissance sur les concepts de routage et commutation des réseaux.
• Connaissances générales sur les architectures de réseau
• Connaissances générales sur les couches OSI, VLAN, VRRP, QoS, VPN, NAT, TCP/IP.
• Connaissances générales sur la cybersécurité et les pares-feux.
• Connaissances générales sur les langages Bash, PERL or Python
• Très bonne aptitude de communication, de gestion de points techniques et d’auto-organisation.
• Bonne aptitude à la prise de décision et à prendre des responsabilités
• Connaissance et Respect des méthodes qualités pour l’identification ou la prévention de défaillance, défauts (RCA, FTA, 8D)

Experience with control and monitoring systems and associated technologies
• Experience in a development workflow with the management of a backlog review and delivery of SW update.
• Large knowledge on communication protocols (OPC DA 2.0, WebServices, MODBUS), SQL language and SCADA system components
• Excellent knowledge on Windows Operating System
• Good knowledge on server Virtualization
• Good knowledge on network switching and routing concepts
• General knowledge on network architecture
• General knowledge of OSI layers, VLAN, VRRP, QoS, VPN, NAT, TCP/IP.
• General knowledge of firewall and cybersecurity.
