Your Role
The Innovation Department and the R&D Lab
“Watch innovation spark when different knowledges connect”
The innovation teams at the Amaris Group aim to connect researchers, users, engineers and decision makers to find the solutions of tomorrow. They are divided in 4 departments :
- The R&D Lab in Artificial Intelligence
- Innovation Factories, in charge of developing and put in production projects
- The Start-Up Studio to put the products and services on the market
- An Open Innovation tool to connect all the users on a dedicated platform: JEF Label
The AI R&D Lab is located in Sophia Antipolis with an international reach in Tunis and Ho Chi Minh. It has been made up only with creative engineers and PhDs able to push the technology to unforeseen uses.
They all work together to develop a unique expertise in the latest learning techniques and algorithms in R&D : Deep Learning, AutoML, Reinforcement Learning, GANs, Computer Vision, Visual Question Answering (VQA), Anomalies Dectection (RNN, LSTM, Auto-encoders) et NLP/NLU.
Job description
Today, to be able to answer to the internal and external needs, the R&D Lab team is expanding and we are actively looking for Data Scientists in Nice to work on innovative PoCs on both research and client sides :
· Starting from a business need, design and develop a data product using data science algorithms and methods :
- Need collection
- feasibility analysis
- data audit, definition of a methodology
- model development and optimization, delivery of the product to the client.
· Working on various business cases and data types
· Participation to research on artificial intelligence
· Technology Intelligence
Ideal Candidate
You have an engineering diploma with a Data Science specialisation or a similar master degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics/Statistics/Data Analysis/Data Science. You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar professional environment, ideally in various business cases (ex: marketing, health, finance, HR, etc.) where you have been problem-solving oriented. You have a solid ability to do statistical modelling, build predictive models and leverage machine learning algorithms.
You are proficient in Python and preferably Scikit-Learn, or another librairy (Pandas, Keras, TensorFlow, NLTK, Genism, NumPy or SciPy)
You are a proactive person who likes to learns new things day by day. You are curious, you like to understand the whole picture and to work with other members in a multidisciplinary team.
You like to push technologies to their full potential and twist them into unforeseen uses.

Les équipes Innovation du groupe AMARIS ont pour vocation de connecter chercheurs, utilisateurs, ingénieurs et décideurs métier pour trouver les solutions de demain. Ils sont organisés autour de quatre départements :
- Un laboratoire de Recherche en Intelligence Artificielle
- Des Innovation Factories, en charge d’assurer le développement et la mise en production des projets
- Un Start-Up Studio pour accompagner la mise sur le marché de nouveaux produits ou services
- Un outil d’Open Innovation visant à connecter l’ensemble des acteurs sur une plateforme dédiée : JEF Label
Le Laboratoire de recherche en Intelligence Artificielle Amaris est situé à Sophia Antipolis avec un rayonnement international à Tunis et Ho Chi Minh. Il est composé uniquement d’ingénieurs et docteurs créatifs, et capables de pousser la technologie jusqu’à des usages inattendus.
Tous travaillent de concert pour déveloper une expertise unique dans les dernières techniques d’apprentissage et algorithmes à la pointe de la R&D : Deep Learning, AutoML, Reinforcement Learning, GANs, Computer Vision, Visual Question Answering (VQA), Détection d’anomalies (RNN, LSTM, Auto-encoders) et NLP/NLU.
Descriptif de poste
Aujourd’hui, l’équipe du Lab R&D s’agrandit pour répondre à ses besoins internes et externes. Nous recrutons des Chercheurs à Nice pour travailler sur des PoCs innovants aussi bien sur la partie recherche que la partie clients externes :
- Partir d’un besoin client, dessiner et développer des produits de données en utilisant des méthodes et algorithmes de data science
- Collecte des besoins, études de faisabilité, audit des données, définition d’une méthodologie, développement et optimisation de la livraison du produit au client
- Travailler sur différents cas métiers et types de données
Le candidat idéal
Vous êtes titulaires d’un diplôme d’Ingénieur avec une spécialité Data Science ou un master similaire en IT et Mathématiques Appliqués/Statistiques/Analyse de données/ Data Science.
Vous avez minimum deux ans d’expérience dans un environnement professionnel similaire, idéalement dans différentes industries (ex : marketing, santé, finance, RH, etc.) où vous avez développé une capacité à résoudre des problèmes rapidement. Vous avez des compétences solides en modélisation statistiques, construction de modèles prédictifs et optimisation d’algorithmes de machine learning. Vous êtes un utilisateur confirmé de Python, de preference avec Scikit-Learn ou d’autres librairies (Panda, Kera, TensorFlow, NLTK, genism, NumPy or SciPy). Vous êtes une personne proactive qui aime découvrir de nouvelles choses quotidiennement. Vous êtes curieux(se), aimez comprendre l’ensemble des élements qui vous entourent et appréciez collaborer avec d’autres membres d’une équipe multidisciplinaire.
Vous aimez travailler sur les technologies afin de les pousser à leur potentiel maximal, jusqu’à un usage inattendu et innovant.
