Description of the job

A vacancy for a Maritime Marketing Manager (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. As the successful candidate you will join the Marketing department (“TMDIM2”) of the CIS-Intelligence Business Line.

Within Airbus Defence & Space, the « Intelligence » business cluster delivers services and solutions to always push further Intelligence capacities and accurate decision making.

You will bring your industry knowledge and you will be responsible for the overall short, medium and long term strategy and positioning toward the maritime market in line with company strategy.

Your main objective is to translate your industry knowledge into a relevant offer and marketing plan in order to maintain competitiveness to ensure OP and EBIT targets on maritime market.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Coordinate maritime activities within Intelligence (transverse meetings animation)
·  Be the representative of maritime business case during steering committees (IDS & systems), manage business case budget, liaise with other business cases
·  Promote maritime strategy and maritime portfolio globally within Intelligence (sales teams regionally)
·  Be the customer voice: gather insight from the Industry, contribute to define customer requirements for product development roadmaps (both for systems and services)
·  Be an industry expert: understanding and analyzing market trends and challenges, drive segmentation according to customer needs, define objectives and future MVPs and portfolio according to strategy and market positioning
·  Define, drive and deliver the Maritime Marketing roadmap:
·  Drive strategic positioning and tailored portfolio
·  Define, drive and deliver the marketing mix for your industry (4Ps): create commercial offers, pricing, business models, brand image and make them available to the market direct and indirect
·  Define and drive execution of key campaigns: objectives, target and messages

To be successful in this task, as Maritime Marketing Manager you will:

·  Monitor and analyze closely the market with the support of Market Intelligence, develop understanding of maritime industry, spread market knowledge internally and ensure the competitiveness is maintained,
·  Collaborate with relevant Key Customers and Key Channel Partners, as well as Product Managers, overall Sales Team and Market Intelligence to gather needs, market insights and trends
·  Collaborate with Operational Marketing, R&D, Legal, Operations, Customer Service, Finance and Service Growth to follow upcoming developments and their timely implementation,
·  Attend specific maritime events, support Sales teams & Bid for tenders, customer meetings, presentations and ensure all relevant parts of the portfolio are promoted
·  Create, update and own the requested Marketing and Sales material for maritime portfolio promotion.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

·  Educated to a Master in Management or an Engineering Degree or a related discipline.
·  At least 3 years of experience in Sales / Marketing / Procurement.
·  Experience in Project Management.
·  Knowledge of Airbus Defence & Space activities would be a strong asset.
·  Good analytical skills and creativity.
·  Flexible and ability to adapt.
·  Good interpersonal and communication skills.
·  Negotiation level of French and English.
