Description of the job

A vacancy for a Ground Segment System Architect (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space CIS Intelligence in Toulouse. You will join TECIE Department in ADS CIS Intelligence.

The INTELLIGENCE business cluster of Airbus DS CIS (CIS-INT) is running a large program:
- renewing its geo-information services facilities & solutions,
- improving its operational efficiency,
- preparing future geo-information services at 2020 horizon,
- preparing for the accommodation of Post-Pleiades system.

This program is named as GEO Digital System (GDS).

In parallel, several projects will be run to develop and deliver to customers the geo-imagery infrastructure solutions derived from GDS design.

These projects are composed by different components/applications under the steering of entities.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

CIS-INT is recruiting a Ground Segment System Architect Working in close relationship of with the Bid Manager (BM)/Product Owner (PO)/Program Manager (PM) in order to:
* Define the Solution Concept of a new or recurrent program/product. Ensure future products or programs target setting and preliminary definition, in parallel with high level program specification (i.e. Specification of needs) maturity, in support to Airbus DS CIS Product Strategy and the Enterprise Architecture roadmap.

* Perform trade-off analysis in order to select the best overall system architecture fulfilling system/product requirements. Formalize the Technical Proposal and organize associated reviews.
* Lead all activities required to meet overall system design and major components’ integration needs. Formalize program specifications and architecture, from Requirement Review to Critical Design Review:
- Define OBS/WBS/PBS of the system
- Requirements management (RBSE): identify system functional and non-functional requirements, allocation to sub-system, ensure traceability/compliance/verification among system, sub-systems and components
- System architecture: Define design constraints and drivers, build dynamic and static architecture (MBSE: functional, application and technology layers), identify and describe system interfaces
* Support implementation, integration and validation phases of the program studying the needed changes until the program final acceptance.

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:
Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in System Architecture
• Manage Business Processes
• Project Lifecycle management
• Overall systems engineering support
• Support to test campaign
• Language Skills: advanced level of English.
