Description of the job

A vacancy for an EEE supply quality engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Elancourt. You will join the Space Equipment Division and will work in the “EEE Supply Quality” Department.
The high level of quality and reliability of a satellite equipment requests specific attention to the primary parts, especially to the electronic, electromechanical and electrical components (EEE components). Therefore, Airbus Defence & Space delegates the selection, the procurement and the quality assurance of these parts to a special entity (the EEE Centre).
This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your mission will be to cover the global quality assurance of parts and suppliers under EEE Centre scope covering the overall supply chain.
Your main objective will be to reduce the overall non-quality cost and identify non-compliances as soon as possible.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

·  Ensuring that all EEE parts suppliers and their products are approved and qualified to the applicable requirements
·  Ensuring that part problems encountered at suppliers are solved during inspections or at user level in accordance with the projects rules and requirements
·  Raising any necessary parts NCR and submitting them to equipment project
·  Ensuring that all problems are correctly reported, documented with associated corrective actions
·  In the context of risk mitigation, supporting evaluation and leading audits, identifying potential risk of product/manufacturer prior to launching purchase orders
·  Being responsible for lot release to equipment manufacturing versus applicable requirement

In your daily work, you will be in contact with several services of the company (purchasing, manufacturing, technologist, equipment quality), with EEE suppliers and subcontractors.

This role will involve some travels for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly in France and abroad.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

·  Engineering degree (or equivalent) ideally specialising in Quality and/or Methods
·  At least 3 years of experience in quality
·  Initial experience in EEE components (manufacturing, quality, etc.)
·  Knowledge in electronics
·  Meticulous, autonomous, good interpersonal skills, quality mindset and customer orientation.
·  French: negotiation level
·  English: advanced level
