Description of the job
Airbus Helicopters (Marignane) is in search of a Data Scientist to reinforce its market analysis teams. You will be involved in the design of innovative research projects that meet specific business issues. The position is within the methods and tools team of the Marketing/Market Analysis department. You will work in an international environment where you will able to develop in-depth knowledge of local specificities: marketing markets, etc.

Tasks & accountabilities
The main tasks of the position will include:
o Analysing helicopter market data using statistical/machine learning tools
o Developing new short/medium- and long-term forecasting methods and identifying development opportunities on the helicopter market.
o Consolidating, comparing and enlarging the data required for the various types of modelling: structured (customer, product, web-browsing data, etc.) or non-structured (verbatim reports), internal (fleet, customer base, follow-up, etc.) or external (open data, FR24 database, etc.).
o Producing Proof of Concepts (POCs) and reports and visual presentations for the marketing and market analysis teams.
o Making proposals on the choice of technologies to be used for new tools/methods
o Attending technical events/conferences and reinforcing Data Science skills within Airbus
Required skills
o Post-graduate degree in maths or economics (Statistics/Econometrics/Data Science)
o Proficient in econometrics and/or machine learning concepts, and in benchmark Data Science technologies (R, Python, Spark, etc.)
o Open-minded, inquiring and with a good team spirit, you are keen to implement innovative concepts in an aeronautical environment.
o French & English: advanced level
This is a management level 2 position.
