Quality Engineer

We are currently looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to ensure the integrity of incoming materials, finished products and manufactured product, the efficient processing of customer returns and effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for identified issues.

Duties:

*Undertake product surveillance inspection activities, including incoming product AQL, in process component and manufactured product investigation inspections in accordance with service level agreements.
*Manage customer product returns, including, confirmation of compliance of returned product, fault diagnostics of non-conforming product and reporting, in accordance with service level agreements.
*Maintain document and ERP system requirements relating to inspection activities.
*Development and deployment of product inspection documents, including functional, performance and visual criteria.
*Conducting effective corrective and preventative investigations, in accordance with 8D processes. To include liaison with supply chain & commercial teams, and customers as required.
*Development of effective and robust process standard operating procedures in conjunction with relevant organisational teams.
*Conduct process surveillance audits, identifying opportunities for improvements & non-conformances, and agreeing effective corrective action plans.
*Participate in process and design FMEA activities, identifying risks to quality and appropriate control measures.
*Generate and maintain reports are required.

Skills/Experience Required:

*Proficient at performing product inspection to AQL sampling requirements
*Capability to assess product compliance against pre-determined criteria.
*Capability to identify and contain "at risk" product.
*Ability to define and document an operating procedure.
*Ability to define and document inspection criteria
*Capability to conduct a root cause analysis and identify corrective actions
*Ability to record data and generate reports
*Ability to perform basic operations within an ERP system
