Head of Compliance and MLRO - City of London

Job type: Full-time / 12-month fixed-term contract followed by a permanent role (Full time on-site)

Salary: £90,000 - £120,000

Our client, a leading organisation in the financial sector, is currently seeking a dynamic Head of Compliance and MLRO to join their team at their London branch. With a focus on fostering compliance and mitigating financial crime risks, this role promises an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact within the organisation.

What You'll Be Doing:

·  Implementing and maintaining effective compliance policies and procedures, specifically for countering financial crime risk.

·  Overseeing the compliance monitoring programme, assessing its adequacy, and taking remedial actions.

·  Providing proactive advice to the business to ensure adherence to all obligations.

·  Actively engaging with regulatory bodies and managing the organisation's relationship.

·  Drafting and submitting regulatory reports.

·  Maintaining efficient communication channels with key internal stakeholders to exchange best practices, report risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

·  Managing and supporting a team of compliance and financial crime professionals.

What You'll Need:

·  Extensive experience in financial services compliance and AML within commercial banking or MiFID investment firms.

·  In-depth knowledge of UK financial services regulatory requirements and financial products.

·  Proven track record in implementing and maintaining comprehensive policies and procedures within financial services firms.

·  Strong communication skills, enabling effective engagement with regulators and internal stakeholders.

·  Fluent in English, with knowledge of Korean as an advantage.
