This is an exciting opportunity to join our client as a Communications and Engagement Officer (Public Health) based in the area of Sutton - Location Remote/home-working

Start date: ASAP
Hours: Full Time Mon to Fri
Salary: £25.00 PH PAYE - negotiable
3 Months +

The role of the Communications and Engagement Officer (Public Health) is to support the development and implementation of a comprehensive public health focused communications and engagement strategy with the Public Health Team, Communications and Engagement Team and Commissioning Unit.

Support the delivery of an existing communications and engagement plan to the effective delivery of the national NHS Test and Trace programme in Sutton. Keep up to date with current national and local guidelines on coronavirus prevention, creating copy for a variety of communications including, website, social and email.

Be reactive and creative in order to target key audience groups as identified by regular data received by public health. This will be mainly via social and digital routes, but other marketing and communications may be required.

Create plans and content for specific audiences working in collaboration with the Test and Trace Communications and Engagement Manager and our volunteer partners (Community Action Sutton). Ensure all existing and new assets are available in locally spoken languages as required by GLA guidelines.

Person specification

Good understanding of the local government and health system landscape.

Ability to work at pace in a complex system and communicate effectively with a wide-range of stakeholders.

Ability to write clear, concise and sensitive communications.
