ZIPS (Zodiac Innovative Power Solutions) create, product and distribute a large product line for electrical generation with innovative technologies to increase power density.

ZIPS is currently re-evaluating all of its manufacturing processes to improve the quality, reliability and efficiency in all of its products. As a member of the Production Department, the Manufacturing Engineer will take ownership of this ambitious project. The related activities includes:

· Study the existing manufacturing processes to identify key points, improvements and recurrent default (quality, delay, performance, etc.),
· Provides fact-based recommendations on purchased items vs. manufacturing in-house (Make or Buy),
· Be an intermediary between production and engineering to provide support related to process modifications for existing and new product development,
· Lead process design through common methods, such as tooling, instructions and equipment,
· Support prototype and test procedure design for new manufacturing processes and improvements.
· Create and maintain manufacturing work instruction to improve quality, delay and product performance,
· Analyze and gather the best manufacturing practices in the market,
· Supports Zodiac requirements for sustaining Lean efforts at the ZIPS facility,
· Other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Profil :

You have a degree of an engineering school (Centrale Paris, Arts et Métiers, etc.) and preferably specialized yourself in production/manufacturing management. During your studies (internship, apprenticeship…) you experienced for one or two years working on a production site and/or a manufacturing department.You have an excellent English and an international mindset. You know how to use CAD and SolidWorks. Able to multi-task, prioritize and problem-solve in as fast-paced working environment with minimal guidance. Works with cross functional teams to establish production methods and quality requirements.

The length of the VIE is 18 months.
