Summary

The Technical Product Manager , Lavatory Systems is responsible for overseeing the Product Life Cycle activity within a sub-team of the Lavatory Systems department to ensure project milestones are met, deliverables are completed, and to ensure the growth and improvement of direct employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Using sound Technical Engineering and Project Management principals this engineer is responsible to ensure robust, airworthy designs are attained accomplishing the project and business objectives.
· Accountable to meet project commitments by working with multiple functional groups and managing a high level of interfaces
· Accountable for Staff development, Training and Performance reviews
· Accountable for team capability development, lessons learned and standard work management
· Accountable for team’s Process Improvement
· Responsible for function budget & expenses (incl CAPEX)
· Responsible for team Capacity vs Load management & resource allocation
· Accountable for standards definition and development process best practices
· Responsible for compliance to program contractual terms at engineering level
· Responsible for program risk management
· Contributor to Engineering & Industrialization continuous improvement
· Develops and communicates vision for the growth of the team within ZWWS, ZA and the industry
· Coordinates with Chief Engineer to ensure all product meet technical objectives and requirements
· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience -

· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) from a recognized institution
· Desired minimum of 8 years* of professional experience in the design and development of Aerospace products.

(6 years of professional experience with Master’s Degree; 3 years with a PhD)

· Desired minimum of 5 years of either direct supervisory experience, or experience as an integrated product team (IPT) lead for complex products and systems

Minimum Education and Years of Experience - not to be used exclusive of other leveling factors (Relevant Project or work Experience will be considered)

Physical Demands – While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to move around the office.

Work Environment – The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.

Travel – To support this role, the employee may travel up to 25% domestically or internationally
