In this role, you will join a collaborative team of fellow analysts, designers and stakeholders to work on transforming the Benefits Deliver & Administration industry, by turning complex problems into elegant user experience solutions that delight our clients and our users. We create consumer and enterprise level web software for human resource professionals, employees and retirees.

The Role 
As a User Experience Designer at Willis Towers Watson, you will join a collaborative team of fellow analysts, designers and stakeholders to work on transforming the Benefits Deliver & Administration industry, by turning complex problems into elegant user experience solutions that delight our clients and our users. We create consumer and enterprise level web software for human resource professionals, employees and retirees.
Following user-centered and evidence-driven approaches, and employing your keen ability to empathize, you will work with business stakeholders, fellow UX colleagues and users to elicit of clear problem understanding, as well as creating and validating the best solutions. Ensuring to deliver the most usable, viable and feasible solutions in line with the business goals. Activities you will lead and perform, will include, but not be limited to, working with stakeholders to discover, elicit and analyze requirements, user research, uncovering clear problem definition, task and workflow analysis, various flow diagrams, journey mapping, formative concept design, wireframes, low-fidelity prototyping, usability testing and validation, UI interaction design and UI specifications.

As a UX Designer, you will work with fellow UX designers, stakeholders and colleagues on projects and products. This may also include working on cross-product initiatives. You will also work to ensure segment and corporate level UX Standards are implemented, for both consistency and usability.

• You have experience with user research, strategy, design and usability.
• You are comfortable working with a diverse range of stakeholders, including executives, and can speak the language of business as well as technology, always ready to speak to the collective needs of our users.
• You effectively communicate your findings through empathetic and thoughtful analysis.
• You establish and foster relationships with stakeholders to ensure success.
• You are comfortable with a formative design process and actively work with fellow UX team members to create sacrificial design concepts to ultimately deliver the most valuable solutions.
• You are comfortable providing support to scrum teams during development, some offshore.
• At your core, you have an insatiable passion for User Experience, discovering new ideas, defining them, and working in a highly-collaborative work style.
• You are comfortable in defining and reporting out on the progress of UX tasks.
• As a member of the UX team, you will work with other UX & CX team members to develop and promote shared understanding of our user’s goals, tasks and workflows.
• You are driven to ensuring consistency that created UIs adhere to our UX Standards and are congruent with our other products.
• You have a strong understanding of UI and interaction design principles, use of typography, color and page layouts, with a great eye for detail.

The Requirements 

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience with User-Centered Design in an Agile SDLC.
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in creating and executing usability testing.
• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience designing usable interfaces with complex, multi-step interactions
• Demonstrable experience in designing responsive web applications or mobile applications.
• Experience with web accessibility in web applications.
• Experience with tools such as OmniGraffle, Axure, Adobe CS, Visio, Balsamiq, or similar is required.
• Demonstrable ability to work on virtual teams and collaborate remotely as well as locally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You have mastery in 3 out of 4 of UX disciplines: visual design, interaction design, user research, or front-end development, bonus if you have expertise in all 4.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is desired.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities with acute attention to details.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Design, Information Science or equivalent experience.
• Ability to present design and work samples of completed projects is required.
• Possible 10% travel required, including international.
