Position Description
Within the area of Indirect Purchasing, Volvo Group Purchasing is looking for a
Commodity Buyer (m/f)
Indirect Products & Services
In this position you will take the lead in driving indirect procurement (IPS) segments within Volvo Group Purchasing in Germany. The position will be located at the Volvo CE site in Germany - Hameln.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Collaborate in the segment strategy development and implementation
· Execute sourcing and implementation of binding agreements in line with the strategy including purchasing requisitions in the ordering system
· Select suppliers and sign agreements in line with valid Volvo Group directives
· Drive supplier relationship when appointed as a supplier host
· Follow up supplier performance according to agreed KPI's
· Drive price updates/ renegotiations for non-binding agreements
· Contribute to the segment financial contribution targets
· Maintain proper stakeholder relationships
Your Profile:
· Bachelor degree in Science, Economy or Business Administration
· Proven procurement background and experience in any sector (indirect purchasing preferred)
· Experienced in working with Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
· Strong negotiation skills
· Proficient in working in an international environment
· Good business acumen and commercial contracting knowledge and experience
· Experience to work in projects
· Excellent in spoken as well as written German and English, additional languages are an asset
· Ability to work structured, target-oriented and self-dependently
