Description of the Project
NNB GenCo Hinkley Point C (HPC) in Somerset, UK is a major infrastructure project for delivery of two 1 600 MW European Pressurised Water (EPR) reactors. The project is currently in enabling phases with engineering through the EDF departments of CNEN & SOFINEL (Paris and Bristol) and CNEPE (Tours).
Tunzini Nucléaire, with its two industrial partners, have been selected as preferred bidder for the detailed design, qualification, procurement, construction and commissioning of Classified Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. Works are underway to prepare the contract with early equipment qualification, technical and constructability studies, estimating and scheduling.
Description of the Role
• Reporting to the HVAC Engineer, he/she is responsible for the design studies, calculation and equipment sizing.
• They will provide their advice and analysis to optimize the aeraulic design.
• They will be based in the offices at Le Pecq, France.
Responsibilities
• To perform thermal and aeraulic calculation following the consortium calculation processes defined and agreed with the client
• To perform their deliverables according to the objectives, input data, applicable processes and outputs defined by the HVAC Engineer
• To ensure the technical work is performed in accordance with specification and quality requirements
• To identify, capture and support the Project team for technical risks and opportunities

Experience / Skills
• Experience in the design, calculation and verification of structural and seismically classified supports
• At least 1 years' experience of nuclear thermal calculation, or no less than 2 years for non-nuclear projects and major projects
• Demonstrate a commitment to quality and safety
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, international and European standards and industry code of practice
• Experience in detailed mechanical calculation using Staad-Pro and Robot
• Ability to expedite technical studies
• Written and oral fluency in English and French
Qualifications
• HNC or Diploma in thermal Engineering
• Ideally a Master's Degree / BAC+5 in thermal engineering
