The mission of the Powertrain Systems Business Group is to develop innovative powertrain solutions aimed at reducing fuel consumption and co2 emissions, without compromising on the pleasure and dynamics of driving. Missions

Missions: To provide IP, R&D and BG other functions with an easy access to and information on third party patents related to the BG activities, including performing of patent searches and patent watches, and informing them of the issuance of new patents. Responsibilities: 1- Information regarding new patents from third parties o Providing regularly IP Engineers, Project team members and Technical experts with a report on new patent publications, ranked by Product Lines / technical fields.; 2- Prior art searches o Realising prior art searches e. g. for patent clearances, patentability studies, patent mappings. o Training people (Project team members, …) to search tools and methods o Optimizing search tools o Developing tools to retrieve previous searches 3- Prior Art database (if any) o Management of a customised database containing all the patents related to the BG activities, o Developing tools to permit an easy retrieval of patents according to certain criteria; o Monitoring with technical experts the indexation of patents in the database and putting some additional information for each of them; o Managing access to the database (restricted access to added information, i.e. non public);

Education

Master degree in enginerring with knowledge of transmission systems

Fields of experience

Minimum 2 years in a R&D environement on technical products related to transmission systems.
