Job description

KEY ROLE PURPOSE:

· Drive profitable growth for the category through creating strategic category plans, implementing annual category business plans and integrating these plans into channel plans.
· Set direction, provide categories innovation and activation and manage local mix.
Main Accountabilities
Business strategies
· § Develop and execute Category vision and strategy including long term view (3-5 year road map).
· § Manage product portfolio against clear category segmentation.
· § Manage pricing to ensure it reflects desired market positioning and profit ambition.
Innovation processes:
· § Leads category program and processes of innovation & renovation including IPM.
· § Leads the category 12Q innovation plans: propose ideas to category developers for line extensions (new flavour, new pack size, new pack format, base technology).
· § Generate and identify local category insights and feed these into cluster thinking on innovation.
· § Feedback country requirements into global projects agree with the global and implement innovations/rejuvenations.
· § Facilitate “ make new last longer ” and maintain portfolio up-to-date versus competition, legal requirements, upgrading packaging, tracking product quality, etc.
· § Fanatical about product quality ; lead the benchmarking work for the top SKU's in accordance with global framework and acting on areas for improvement.
Category activation & Budget management:
· § Builds and manages launch plans.
· § Idea generation and concept development for activation/roll out of key innovation and rejuvenations.
· § Work with Channel Marketing Teams to co-create activation plan.
· § Develop and execute annua l category plan working closely with and Channel Marketers.
· § Support channel marketing basket .
· § Plans annual category's budget according to the strategic priorities.
· § Manages category's A&P budget in order to achieve KPI's and effective utilization.
· § Ownership of category volume forecasts , and primary marketing contact for supply chain in country.

Knowledge / Skills

BA in economy/management/communication
3-5 years of experience in marketing
3 years of experience Food marketing & innovations experience
Team leader experience - Advantage
Fluent English
