Business Context and Job Profile:

The extended supply chain of the materials and services that go into Unilever's products from our suppliers as well as the operation of its factories, offices and total supply chain is covered by the Responsible Sourcing Policy (RSP) and the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan (USLP).

The Integrated Social Sustainability (iSoSu) Team is responsible for ensuring the RSP is in place in our own facilities and Unilever's extended supply chain and determines the scope and scale of how we assess the implementation of the RSP. The team is responsible for Human Rights, including Labour and Land Rights, and the policies that Unilever commits to in this regard, acting as subject matter experts. The iSoSu Team is also geographically co-located with key Supply Chain and Procurement operations to provide support on both RSP and Social Sustainability business practices.

The Social Accountability Assistant Manager in the iSoSu Team must have a passion for social impact and will work to facilitate embedding the RSP principles into our operations.

Key Accountabilities:

The role in Brazil will support the Social Accountability Manager with the main responsibilities of:

Key Incidents Management: management of KIs process, escalations to Procurement, visibility to Procurement Business Integrity Committee (PBIC) of critical issues, development of supporting material (user guides, etc), follow up and KPIs measurement.

Audit Companies (ACs) Relationship Management: leads monthly meetings with Audit Companies where KPIs against SLA are measured and discussed. Supports with questions, doubts, raises issues being faced by ACs and develop corrective actions to close gaps (e.g. training sessions, development of new tools, etc).

Reports: build up monthly Dashboards and compliance reports for LATAM.

·
Support for quality audits at Unilever plants in Latin America: work as support in all quality audits in Latin American Unilever plants, providing compliance documents and evidence for external auditors.

Managing day to day inquiries: provides guidance, recommendations and support to all internal stakeholders for all inquiries pertaining to USQS. Proactively supports colleagues to clear their doubts on USQS so to be able to guide supplier in becoming fully compliant.

User Guides and FAQ's: design of user guides and FAQ's for audit companies to give them clarity on various tasks performed by them.

Experience on addressing root-causes and engaging on effective remediation.

Experience Required:

ESSENTIAL

·
Experience in Sustainability or Responsible Sourcing Compliance programs and Corporate Social Responsibility, preferably for large organizations

·
Good knowledge and understanding of human rights issues including UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and International ILO conventions.

·
Good understanding of both traditional audit processes.

PREFERRED

·
University degree – preferably in a related field

·
Multi language capabilities a plus, fluent spoken and written English required

Experience working in a global and connected team
