Background & Purpose of the Job

The Quality Engineer role is critical to the development of our factories to World Class, which means zero defects, zero waste and zero losses. She/he will apply extensively the full range of Focused and Quality Improvement methods and tools to counter losses identified in quality as well as support in other functions. As well as partner with the Global Virtual Site to replicate best practices.

Who You Are & What You'll Do

Develops and implements validations, testing, inspection procedures and statistical analysis to incoming materials, in process and finished products to ensure product compliance with GMPs, food safety, and company specifications. Researches product defects recommending modifications in products or standards and prepares necessary reports and action plans. Partners with material and packaging vendors as well as R&D to drive quality improvements and VIP savings. Provides coaching in phenomena identification, root cause analysis and the establishment of counter-measures for D-Incident investigations. The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with UL and regulatory agencies QA standards for all innovations in trials. The Quality Engineer is the point person at the factory and will act as the leader for all Trials and innovations. This includes holding external stakeholders accountable to trial timeline and protocol, managing quality sampling and monitoring, collecting data and reporting final outcomes and next steps as well as overall cost management.

What You'll Need To Succeed

University Degree Required;

Food, Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering

PREFERRED / DESIRABLE: Experience in statistics and process control tools

Experience in AM, PM, Quality and FI tools and processes

Must have at least 3 + years of experience
