Pipelining - Trade Category Management Assistant

Main Job Purpose
The Trade Category Management team within this organisation is pivotal to delivering the business performance. The team is analytical, forward thinking and great influencers who work in partnership with their customers to deliver category growth.

Job Summary
· Be the category expert for key customers and provide objective advice & insight through category reviews
· Translate category strategy into range & merchandising recommendations
· Lead Category Projects across customers, to drive category growth and market development
· Support the annual Business Planning process through data analysis and opportunity identification
· Representing customer & category needs internally to shape company strategy
· Support & inform sales/marketing plan activities to ensure alignment with customer & category objectives
· Champion shelf health for the company through in depth understanding of customer merchandising guidelines, our business objectives and category knowledge

Key Requirements
· Bachelors degree, preferably B.com
· Minimum 2 years working experience in Category Management
· Experience of the FMCG industry, will be beneficial
· Experienced with data platforms like Nielsen, DunnHumby, 5one, Insights
· High level of numeracy and analytical skills
· Excellent engagement, presentation, and communication skills
· Ability to own & drive the agenda for the category (pro-active & independent worker)
· Strength in challenging others / holding others accountable, particularly cross-functional peers & senior partners
· Requires travel (aprox 20%) (drivers LIC and Vehicle)
· Ability to multi-task and work in a high-pressure environment
