About the Role:

This a permanent role working 12hr shifts both Day & Night shift rotation, across a 3 week rotation pattern, averaging a 40hr working week.

You will be based at our Minto factory involved in the processes making our delicious ice-cream Streets brands such as Cornetto, GayTime & Magnum.

The role of Technical Line Lead is responsible for the operation, maintenance, improvement and repair of equipment to support the delivery of the operational KPIs; Productivity, Quality, Safety, Health and Environment, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Innovation and Environmental Sustainability.

You will master (Leaning Edge) the operation of a series of machines/processes in areas of the factory and diligently follow the established standards of production delivery and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Technical - Knowledge and application of technical skills to Operate, Maintain, Improve and Repair (OMIR) equipment
· Safety - Utilise all appropriate safety and environmental procedures
· Quality - Monitor quality against set standards and reports any product and packaging faults
· Decision Making - Identify repeated problems with production and repeated causes of breakdowns and suggests how to solve these
· Continuous Improvement - Use performance measures to identify and prioritise losses in production area.

Key Requirements:

· Core Engineering Skills (Trade Certificate)– Background in Maintenance, Bench fitting and/or machining to operate at Full Technical Operator Level
· Experience of working as part of an extended team within the manufacturing sector
· Previous experience as an operator/maintainer is highly sought after
· Strong leadership and communication skills
