BUSINESS CONTEXT

Procurement Finance is a diverse global team working to drive the expansive cost and cash agenda for Unilever. As partners to the global Commodity Risk Management (CRM) team, the CRM Finance helps minimize commodity volatility for raw and packaging material spends.

This is a great role offering the unique opportunity to learn and gain deep insights into Unilever’s CRM in action with exposure to commodity price modelling, hedge management and reporting, continuous process improvements, and building communication and influencing skills in managing multiple senior stakeholders at the global scale.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Covers and Compliance

· Manage Commodities information network with weekly and monthly Global Commodities Covers reporting and drive improvement
· Responsible for reporting and driving compliance on procurement covers in accordance with Unilever policy
· Responsible for Compliance & Controls in the CRM across different stakeholders.

Hedge Results: transfer to markets

· Ensure that the results of all hedges are allocated to the markets in line with policy
· Ensuring timely transfer of the hedge results to markets
· Coordinating with Supply Chain (SC) Finance teams in the markets on FC and Actual results

Ad hoc activities, projects and Continuous Improvement Initiatives

· Support in the evaluation of plans / ideas / new initiatives as part of continuous improvement e.g. expansion of CRM scope to new commodities and markets.
· Support the team with accounting related queries where needed (working closely with external support partners)
· Actively drive long term CRM capability building project
· Oversee process simplification and improvements in data consolidation, analysis and reporting
· Support CRM Finance Manager & Director on overall governance control

RELEVANT SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE

· Exposure in Supply Management / Supply Chain / Procurement
· Knowledge of Controller guidelines and policies
· Audit and Opco Finance experience
· Stewardship - Risk Management & Controls

This role requires a Finance background with emphasis on Accounting and Financial analysis. Candidates with prior work experience in Supply Chain Finance / Audit / Controller function are preferred. Excel skills are a must. Basic proficiency in MS applications (Word, PowerPoint) is also required. Knowledge of data cleansing tools (Alteryx) is preferred but can be learnt on the job.

*This is a 1-year contract opportunity.
